How do I gain access to the Internet?

You need to purchase a Prepaid Internet Access Card from Reception.

 

 

Why can’t I obtain Wireless Connection?

Ensure your computer is Wireless capable and active. If your computer is not wireless capable, please contact Reception and ask for a Wireless USB Key to connect to the Internet.

 

 

Why can’t I see the Internet page to enter my Login ID & Pin?

This page will automatically appear once you are connected to the wireless access point and have entered your desired website into your browser.

 

 

Why can I connect to the Internet but I am unable to access my company’s email through my company’s VPN?

Some company VPNs may not be accessible due to restrictions on your company’s VPN configuration or computer.

 

 

Why can’t I connect to my work network through my VPN?

We enable many common protocols in order for you to connect to your company’s VPN, however, in some cases some company VPNs may not be accessible due to restrictions on your company’s VPN configuration or your computer.

 

 

Which connection do I choose as I see many choices in my wireless access connection list?

You need to be sure you choose and connect to the name of the accommodation Hotel / Motel or Serviced Apartment you are staying in.

 

 

Why can I not send or receive email OR why can I can receive email but cannot send email?

Please click on either of the following links depending on your MS Outlook version SMTP Connection for Outlook XP, SMTP Connection for Outlook 2003.

 

 

Why do I receive an error stating that I must allow certain port numbers to use my specific application?

Why is it that my time has expired?

The Prepaid Internet Access Cards are for the time period specified on the card in consecutive (blocks of) time. In other words, if you purchase a 30 minute card and you log on to the internet at 10:00am, your card will expire at 10:30am. If you need to log in and out at certain times of the day to access the Internet, it may be beneficial to purchase a 1 or 3 day access card. These times are consecutive also, however, will last for 24 or 72 hours.

 

 

Why is it that I cannot use the same Prepaid Internet Card for my other computer?

The Prepaid Internet Cards are specific to each computer once logged in. Should you require a second computer to connect to the internet, please contact our Support Desk for further assistance. Please note that the time of the prepaid card will expire upon the first login on the first computer.

 

 

What if I want longer than 3 days access?

Monthly access is available for extended periods. Please ask at Reception for further details.
